Pausing for reflection...

Wow, summer sure did fly by!  I know I can't be the only one who is thinking "how is it already September?".  Summers have a way of passing by in a blink, but for me this summer was particularly fast paced.  Even though the kids started school a week ago, and my own classes started up yesterday I am finding the desire to take a moment and look back.

June was spent getting ready for Craftsy.  My producer, editor and I laughed many times at how many times "Carrie's homework" came up on the script.  It was a massive amount of work, but of course well worth it!  Look at the stack of cards that are featured on the video...

That doesn't even include the awesome samples that were shown of my good friends Norma Gomez and Dana Tatar!  Needless to say, "40 Techniques Every Stamper Should Know" is jam packed with techniques galore!  I really love sharing ideas and techniques and the video really shows that!  I found it really hard to narrow down which techniques we were going to feature.  I could easily do 40 more techniques!

When I wasn't preparing for Craftsy, I was getting ready for DISNEYWORLD!  We took a trip with my family (my parents along with my sister's family) to Florida.  Disney is already magical all by itself, but to do it with together was even more special.  My folks have talked about doing this since the kids were born and we finally made it happen.

When we got back from Disney it was crunch time for Craftsy.  I had to prepare the step outs, talk through the script, figure out timing, and other details that are important for making a great video.  Then it was GO time!  Craftsy is based out of Denver, CO  which I LOVED!  I was there during my birthday which made it even more fun.  Here are some behind the scene pictures from my adventure...

It was such a cool experience!  Then I came back home to the real world (one without drivers and really yummy meals that I didn't have to prepare) and realized that there were only a few weeks of summer left.  I crammed those weeks full of trips to several rivers, the beach, amusement parks, and playdates with friends.

Thanks for joining me on my trip down memory lane.  I hope your summer was filled with happy memories too!  Bring on fall (and the cooler weather!)!
