Ok, ready for my project?  Here it is!

I recently got one of Prima's new alterable metal stands.  They come in several sizes and shapes, and all look like too much fun to play with and alter.  This one is way bigger than I was thinking it would be.  I think we might be adding them to the pwp online store.  Let me know what you think!  Do you want one?

I altered mine with all sorts of Paper Wings Productions goodies.  You can find links to all the products I used at the bottom of this post.

Most of what I used comes in the March Nesting Components Mixed Media Kit.  Here's the process:

First I cut out a background paper I made using my Gelli Plate (I'm addicted!!) and stamped the Hanging Stars lines across the top in black ink.  I stamped the stars (also on the Hanging Stars set) at the end of the lines.  I cut out the image from the March Hodge Podge Clip Art Sheet (comes in the March Kit!).  I also stamped and cut out a crown and set of wings from some scrap paper.

Next, I added a bit of the Pearlescent Watercolor to the wings, crown, and the lady's dress.  The watercolors also come in the March kit as well as the Crown set!  Simply wet with a waterbrush (or a regular brush and water!) and apply to the paper.  You can build up layers of the watercolor for a more intense color.  I mix the colors a lot too.

Such beautiful, soft shimmer of color!

Next, I added some dimension to the wings by layering some transparent paper fussy cut to the shape of the wings.

Then I assembled the image with the crown and wings.  I used layers of foam tape to pop it up off the background.

Next, I stamped back over the stars, this time with Copper Encore ink by Tsukineko.  The benefit of using clear stamps is that it is fairly easy to realign an image to double stamp it.  I actually didn't mind off stamping a little bit, I wanted the black to show through a bit.

I added  the stamped saying from the Brave Girls stamp set along with some layered paper that came from the printed ATC paper in the March Kit.

I added more detail with the White Big Stamper Pen and a Bronze colored Pearl Pen.  I added some of that domino printed tape (you guessed it, also in the kit!) at the bottom of the composition and around the outside edge of the metal stand.

I also added some of the paper Prima flowers (March kit again) inside the stand and at the base.  I finished off the piece with lace adhered just inside the tin and at the bottom of the stand.

Alright, it's time to send you off to your next stop so head on over to Dana's Blog!!
