Today I am sharing two of my favorite fall projects using the Paper Wings Productions stamps.

First up is a card.  I started with a page from an old book.  I stamped and embossed the book page with the leaf image with clear embossing ink and clear embossing powder.  Next I inked over the embossed images with Distress Inks.  When you apply the ink, the embossed areas resist the ink and the stamped image stays the same color as the paper was before you inked.

Next I stamped a small piece of brown paper with the saying "Every leaf speaks bliss to me fluttering from the autumn tree."  I applied Ranger's Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint and allowed to dry.  When assembling the card, I wrapped the card front with raffia and layered the stamped pieces onto the orange cardstock.

My next project is an upcycled book project.  I started with an old Reader's Digest book.  These books usually have gorgeous printed covers.  I carefully took out the text block of pages (I always save and use for another project...see above).  I punched holes in the cover, cut inside pages of extra paper (a great way to destash your scrapbook paper you have TONS of!) to fit inside the book and bound the whole thing with the big 2" binder's ring.

I filled the inside with scrapbook paper, cardstock, burlap, fabric, basically anything that was sturdy enough for me to punch holes in.
For the cover, I used the Circle Frame stamp and stamped the phrase "Thanks is for giving" in the middle.  I layered it onto the cover of the book and added paper leaves, a stick from my yard and raffia.

I hope you enjoyed my projects!

Now be sure and go back to the Paper Wings Productions Blog and let them know you finished the hop!
