  • visit each of the participating designer's blogs and leave a comment
  • come back and leave us a comment telling us you completed the hop.
To increase your chances of winning: like our Facebook page and/or invite your friends to the hop.  Be sure to leave a separate comment for each of your additional entries. The winner will be announced on Tuesday, Nov 5th, 2013 on the Paper Wings Productions blog.

I came up with lots of ideas for our theme of Thankful.  There are so many things in life to be thankful of.  Ideas were flowing more freely than time.  At one point I had 3 different projects started.  I decided to go with a format that I love and I find myself gravitating to over and over...bookbinding.

I started out with blank 7 gypsies book covers.  I stamped the Paper Wings Productions leaf stamp using markers to get multiple colors on the image on a piece of paper.  I then carefully stamped the "giving thanks" phrase over the leaf.  I glued that paper to the inside of the cover.  I embellished the cover with Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays, fusible webbing and embossing powders.

I bound the book using a Coptic with long stitch binding (I'm teaching this sewing method at Stamp Antonio this month).

After it was bound, I filled the opening of the cover and the paper flower and leaves with resin.  It leaves such a cool glass like finish!

I used a lot of pieces from the September Nesting Components Mixed Media kit.  The ribbon, paper leaves and flowers, fusible webbing, and embossing powder all came from the kit.

I am thinking of offering online classes and tutorials.  Let me know what you'd like to see offered.  Bookbinding, of course, is top on my list.  Thanks for joining me today!
