Happy Friday & WELCOME to the “We’re Going Retro” Paper Wing Production's Design Team Blog Hop & Giveaway!  If you've arrived here from Shay's Blog, then you're in the right place.  If you just happened to stumble into the hop, please CLICK HERE to start from the beginning.

This month we’re packing up our PWP stamp sets and traveling back in time to bring you some “Retro” inspiration.  We’re also giving away a gift certificate to the Paper Wings Production’s online store to one lucky follower.

For a chance to win, all you need to do is: be a follower of the Paper Wings Productions blog, The Aviary.  Visit each of the participating designer's blogs and leave them a comment.  Then go back to The Aviary and leave a comment letting them you completed the hop.  To increase your chances of winning, like the Paper Wings Productions Facebook page and/or invite your friends to the hop.  Then just come back and let us know!  Be sure to leave a separate comment for each of the additional entries.  The winner will be announced on Tuesday, April 9th, 2013 on the Paper Wings Productions blog.

Without further ado, here is my project for the month. Yes, another art journal page. I can't help it, I love making them.

I started off spraying the pages with the new pink color of Dylusions sprays. Then I adhered paper from the Secret Admirer collection and sprayed over everything with the white Dylusions spray. I used several pieces from the April Mixed Media kit including the stencil, cloud rub-ons, gesso, and the eiffel tower clip art.

I stamped all over the background with stamps from Art Textures, Flower Power, Royal Melange (included in the April Mixed Media Kit), and Scallop Border stamp sets.

Close up of the clip art and cloud rub-ons in the April Mixed Media Kit.

The final touch was a white pencil. I used my white pencil all over this spread. The tip was a nub when I was finished.

I hope you enjoyed my project! Thanks for completing the hop with us!

Make sure to head back to the Paper Wings Productions Blog and let them know you completed the hop!

***Here is the complete line up just in case you get lost along the way***

  6. Tres jolie! What a lovely page in your art journal. I love how the eye travels along the meandering "path" you've created in your background. The layers of color, images and punch of white adds a lot of depth. As always I relish seeing the art you make, Carrie. Thank you for all the inspiration.

  9. Another amazing art journal page, Carrie. I have found myself in a pink-phase lately, too. I wonder if it is because of the weather? I love the textures in your pages, and as I scrolled through the instructions and supplies used, I see some flower stamps I have missed in the shop. Oh a shopping I will go. . . . . . . . .
Thanks for sharing your incredible talent and the talents of your DT.
