Coming this weekend...

Hey there!

I'm on a much needed vacation, taking a moment to let you know what's happening this weekend as I forgot to take some pictures before I left. Hope everyone is having a great week, hope to see you this weekend...

It's the 3rd Saturday of the month, do you know what that means? It means I teach back to back classes at Stamp Antonio. In the morning we have Art Journal Club. Even though I forgot to take pictures, you won't want to miss this month! We will be working on image transfer. We will create our usual 6"x6" collage board, while exploring two transfer techniques (including one on canvas!). Feel free to bring your own color copies of your own images to use in class. Of course as always I will provide some for you to use.

In the afternoon, we have Books Arts Saturday. This month we will be doing a Stab Binding. You will be able to totally customize this book with the paper of your choice. I used some Halloween scrapbook paper for my sample. The stitch is super easy, and depending on time, we will cover several variations. Bring a ribbon needle, scissors, ruler, paper trimmer, pencil, a hole punching tool (Crop-a-Dile, Japanese screw punch, or Home Pro Tool) if you have one.

What's coming up

Hey there!

This friday, I have "Fridays with Carrie" at Stamp Antonio. We will be doing a "Wicked Collage" using Tim Holtz products. I got the inspiration from Tim's Curio Cabinets that will be out sometime in the next month. You know, I am not the most patient person so I couldn't wait and made my own faux cabinet of sorts. I have to say that I REALLY LOVE this project. It turned out great and I hope you will be able to join us in class. I am making kits for those who can't make a weekday class.

Saturday morning I have a Holiday Grunge Book class at Scrapbook 911. I really love this book too. I thought the binding I came up with is quiet clever. I easily adapted this project into a brag book for my dad for father's day. He still carries it around to show off the grand babies. I keep forgetting to take a picture of this project. I'll try to do it this afternoon.

After class Saturday, the family and I are off for a little R & R. We haven't taken a trip since Lillie was 5 months old, so I think it's about time! Thanks to each and every one of you who continue to take my classes. You allow me to do what I love for a living and you encourage me creatively to continue to come up with new projects for us to do. Although I don't have a lot of time to respond, I do appreciate your feedback and comments. Drop me a note and say "hello"!
